It’s been a while since I’ve written. Here on the farm the garden has been taking a great deal of time. We picked green  beans by the bushels. They are all in the freezer waiting for the cold winds of winter. All that work will be worth it then.

Now we have tomatoes in the same quanities. Tomatoes love humidity and heat, and we have that. I’ve been using tomatoes in breakfast, lunch and dinner. I made a great side dish called Tomatoes Eisenhour. Thick slices of tomatoes with brown sugar, onion, cheddar cheese done under the broiler, overboard good.

Monday I did a fresh tomato soup. Today I need to check the limas that need picked.  We are hopping here on the farm. The Farmers Markets are just bursting with produce. We have local markets Tuesday- Saturday plus roadside stands and day of the week.
